Welcome to jimmywindsurf. This site has been set up so that my sponsors, can keep track of what I have been up to.

Quatro, Ezzy, K4 Fins and Extreme Tea

This is what good cups of tea are made off. Lifeboat Tea that is. Here's a press release published in Boards magazine this August covering my initiation as an Lifeboat Tea ambassador. Just look at that epic kit as well.

Go Pro

Here's a little footage from the weekend. I managed to get a hold of a GoPro camera which is really fun to use (although just trying to get the thing attached to the boom is a bit tricky) anyway, here's the initial experimentation:

The wind tree

One week of no wind, then it comes back. Yesterday was a real nice taster session and I think tomorrow should have some fun and games in store for us.

Boardseeker Mag Cover Shot

Boardseemer Magazine Cover

I managed to bag this the cover shot for this month's Boardseeker Magazine. Shot taken of a pre-breakfast forward loop. Thanks to Gregg Dunnett for taking this one. Of course, I couldn't have managed this without a cup of Lifeboat Tea first.

Coast Feature

- Publication: Windsurf
- Date: June 2010

JC (Photographer John Carter) has put a lot of time and effort spent with various members of the UK windsurfing fraternity setting up a series of articles about windsurfing around the UK. He'd visited Boscombe a couple of time to get some shots from the Pier with myself, Hunty and Jamie among
other rogues.Page 1Page 2Text

The Windsurfing Trinity

The wind has been picking back up this past week allowing us to get out and play around in freestyle conditions. Today was different gear - a good ol'fashioned no messing around low pressure sytem. YESSSSS!!!!

It was a session at 3 different locations, 3 different sails and with 3 different  friends ( well not quite the last bit but ok...).

I've got to say, the last hardcore windsurf I had was in Australia in January due to the rubbish weather the UK has been subjected to, so as I had my first session at Southbourne I was doing my best to pick back up the pace. It was pretty hectic as it usually is with quite a bit of onshore in it. Nice waves but nasty if you fall off on the sand bar.

Lifeboat Tea Sponsorship

2 weeks back, I was fortunate enough to come across an offer of sponsorship from a company that supplies my favourite hot beverage: tea.

Since this might just be my number one ideal sponsorhip opportunity (I like tea) I wondered if salt on the brain had in fact meant my mind was finally unravelling and it was all in my imagination.

Lifeboat Tea 1

Fortunately, when the boxes of tea arrived at my door I was proved sane and might I add, extremely fortunate with this new mission at hand.

Big Salty Weather on your Mobile Phone

Big Salty Weather has very recently launced a full scale global weather service for your mobile phone. It's extremely easy to navigate and quick to load. It not only has all the UK & Ireland locations you need for your wind and surf interests but a whole host of global locations.

Wave Jam - Calendar

Wave Jam

Given the number of rippers in the UK competing in the Wave Jam competitions, I was suprised to see myself in the August section of the calendar. Steve Thorpe, brain child of the Wave Jam series and K4 Fins, works tirelessly getting people to the coast and reaping the benefits as well as keeping a wife happy, job going and runnning K4 Fins and getting promotional calendars together... you get the picture.

Winter Warmer - Ringstead Bay

- Publication: Boardseeker Magazine
- Date: Dec '09

Winter warmerWinter warmer. After a really successful photo trip to Ringstead Bay several months earlier with myself and UK champion Jamie Hancock, we managed to get a really nice photo article published in the online windsurfing magazine Boardseeker.

The article consists of a series of slides documenting the course of our day. It was definitely one to remember.
